Specializing in Beautiful & Stunning European Bernedoodle Puppies
Genetic & Diagnostic Testing
Standard Poodles
To assure that you receive an extremely healthy puppy, we go above and beyond to make sure that all of our dogs we use in our breeding program have been thoroughly tested for (and clear of):
-
Degenerative myelopathy (DM) (by DNA)
-
Neonatal Encephalopathy/ataxia (NE) (by DNA)
-
von Willebrand's Disease (vWD) (by DNA)
-
Canine coat color (A and K loci)
-
Hips (Prelim Excellent for Lexi, Zoe, Murphy and Jasmine)
-
Eyes (Vet Checked and/or CERF)
-
Elbows (Prelim Excellent for Lexi, Zoe, Murphy and Jasmine)
-
Improper Coat (IC) (by DNA)
The genetic tests by DNA are registered with Vetnostics and all testing is kept updated. We make sure that all puppies we produce in our breeding program will not have any of these diseases and assuring that our Premier Bernedoodles come from standard poodles and Bernese mountain dogs that are the best. Zoe, Lexi, Murphy, and Jasmine are all clear of these genetic markers.

Bernese Mountain Dogs
Like our Premier Standard Poodles, we also thoroughly health test our Bernese Mountain Dogs as well for the following (and again make sure they will produce bernedoodle puppies that will not have the following diseases...Ryder and Elsa's puppies will be clear of these diseases):
-
Degenerative Myelopathy (DMSOD1-A and DMSOD1-B) (by DNA)
-
von Willebrand's Disease (vWD) (by DNA)
-
Neonatal Encephalopathy/ataxia (NE) (by DNA)
-
Hips (Prelims Excellent for Ryder and Elsa)
-
Elbows (Prelims Excellent for Ryder and Elsa)
-
Eyes (Vet checked and/or CERF)

Bernedoodle Puppies
Lastly, we verify the health of each Premier Bernedoodle puppy by parentage (we have all of our dams and sires thoroughly tested for the genetic markers above and do precerts on hips and elbows) as they undergo rigorous genetic testing to assure that your Premier Bernedoodle puppy will be clear of these diseases.
In addition to the tests above, we also do a thorough blood screening analysis of our adults to insure that your puppy will be the healthiest they can be. We can never absolutely guarantee non-shedding but they should be low to nonshedding, and, we obviously can't give a 100% guarantee on health but we have gone way above and beyond with the diagnostic tests (and pedigree analyses as well as looking to make sure that the COI is below 1 which is exceptional) we do to make sure that your puppy is very, very healthy. If a problem arises we will step up to the plate to resolve any issues.
